Our 4th-6th grade Mavericks had the opportunity to show off their Science Fair projects today. After a delicious "Donuts for Grownups" breakfast, families and CCE students were able to view the scientific presentations. Thanks to Mrs. Kimball for bringing this event back to CCE!

We bet we aren’t the only ones that are feeling the” May momentum” in full swing, as we pile on the “extras” before school is out!
Today we packed in THREE amazing events that truly were the best way to our start our day!
First up was Donuts with Grownups, which was a delicious time thanks to cooks Kay and Nancy!
Then came 6th grade graduation, which left us feeling so proud, happy and a bit sad, as we know we will miss this amazing group of 6th graders so much next year! They are sure to go on and do AMAZING things!
Once a Maverick, always a Maverick!

We ended the morning’s festivities with 4-6th grade Science Fair and TAG projects displayed for our CCE friends and families to walk through.
It was amazing to see the different creative ideas, experiments and questions that these smart and talented students came up with.
We are so proud of our Mavericks! Their hard work did not go unnoticed!

We are beyond grateful for the amazing staff that make up our CCE team! We couldn't do it without them!
As a few get ready for retirement and a few others turn the page as they head off on new adventures, we reflect on how truly amazing each and every one of these valued team members are and how grateful we are for their service.
CCE wishes you nothing but the best in your future endeavors and sincerely thanks you for your time spent with us!
Once a Maverick, always a Maverick!

One of our favorite CCE community members is Royal’s “Grandmother to all,” Shirley Frederick.
It is her 89th birthday today, so the whole K-6 program stopped in to say hello and wish her the best birthday ever! We lit up her day, but she has no idea how much she lit up ours!
Happy 89th birthday and many blessings, Shirley!
Thank you for being our 2023 Homecoming Grand Marshall and one of our favorite Maverick supporters!
We love you!

The CCE Theater Club performed their original Readers Theater script today entitled, "The Quest." While in full costume, students entertained their classmates with the humorous tale. The actors even shared their process by taking questions at the end of the show. Amazing!!!

We are so proud of the CCE Garden Team. This winter, these students created a design for outdoor planters at our school. This week they got to bring their vision to life and put plants in place. Gorgeous! Thanks go out to our Maverick sponsors who helped fund this project!!!

This event is quickly approaching!
How can our 6th graders already be graduating NEXT WEEK!
We will wipe our eyes, gather our composure and start to build off of their immense excitement!
Turning of chapters can be so much fun and we are SO proud of this bunch!
See you at their graduation ceremony next week!

Over the last few weeks, if it was nice enough to go outside, the preschoolers were out sprucing up our Nature Learning Center!
With help from teachers, they cut down all of the dead plants and helped pick up so that our spring plants can flourish.
Way to be great leaders Mavericks!
