She told us not to make a big deal, but we had to say something!
On National School Principal Appreciation Day we celebrate our fabulous Mrs. Huntress! She goes above and beyond for our students and their families, always trying to nurture, protect, and guide in the most loving and gentle ways, yet standing firm in our core Leader in Me and CCE values.
She works tirelessly before, during and after hours for our school district and we are just SO beyond grateful for who she is and all she does!
Thank you so much, Mrs. Huntress for making CCE such a warm, inviting, innovative and wonderful place for children to learn and grow, not to mention for our staff to spread their creative and educational wings to teach with passion and grace.
HAPPY NATIONAL PRINCIPAL APPRECIATION DAY TO YOU, MRS. HUNTRESS!

The 2nd and 3rd graders had an amazing time on their field trip to the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls earlier this month! They got to explore many hands on learning experiences, such as biking, digging for fossils, and trying to get a rocket as high as they could. We appreciate all the support from the community and can drive to help our students be able to have these amazing experiences! Proud to be a Maverick!

Some people just give of themselves without pause. They are helpers and doers, going above and beyond for others, using their gifts and strengths to effortlessly bring out the gifts and strengths of those around them.
Our Mrs. Roti does just that.
She hosts the Saturday field trips, because of what the children will gain from the experience. She comes in on her days off to help students complete their TAG projects. She assists other staff members and brings innovative ideas to the table to best serve our school district.
We appreciate her so much and thank her for all that she does for our Mavericks!
THANK YOU, LISA, for being a selfless, kind, motivated and wonderful CCE team member and friend to all.
We appreciate YOU!
Here are a few more photos from our 6th grade Rockford fossil trip today. Thanks to Mrs. Huntress and the CC-E School Board for approving and supporting our trip. We may have a few paleontologists in the making! 🦕
Our 6th grade students had the opportunity to travel to the Fossil and Prairie Center in Rockford, Iowa, today. We had a blast studying Iowa's fossil record while collecting examples of Devonian fossils like brachiopods, gastropods, horn coral, and more. Science is such fun!
The 5th graders made lemonade out of lemons today, when the weather put a damper on their outdoor classroom field trip.
Mrs. Kimball knew what to do to make a fun-filled day for her class and instead of the great outdoors they took nature-learning indoors by visiting the Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery and the Water’s Edge Nature Center in Kossuth County.
Students enjoyed seeing millions of walleye fry (babies) and learning about nature in fun new settings during this rainy day.
Thank you to Mrs. Kimball for making a gloomy day a fun day for our 5th graders!
Complete your Rainy Day BINGO cards over the weekend and turn them into Mrs. Toft on Monday!
Enjoy the weekend, Mavericks!
