Clay
CCE 4th-6th grade students had the opportunity to engage at the Pearson Lakes Art Center in late October. From observing Russian Impressionist paintings in one gallery to experimenting with clay in the ceramics studio, our Mavericks enjoyed a day filled with wonder and expression.

After lunch, our students jumped over to the Dickinson County Nature Center to study pollinators, see a variety of live animals, and participate in a nature walk. The rainy, gloomy day did not dampen our Mavericks’ enthusiasm for learning more about the natural world.

Thanks to Holly and her team at the Lakes Art Center for an amazing day. Kudos as well to the DC Nature Center for hosting our students. We had a terrific day!
