Our 1st Leader in Me assembly was a HUGE success!
The assembly kicked off with Mrs. Huntress, Mrs. Tewes and Mrs. Key reminding our students of the 7 Habits:
1. Be Proactive (You’re in Charge)
2. Begin With the End in Mind (Have a Plan)
3. Put First Things First (Work First, Then Play)
4. Think Win-Win (Everyone Can Win)
5. Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood (Listen Before You Talk)
6. Synergize (Together Is Better)
7. Sharpen the Saw (Balance Feels Best)
Maverick teachers and staff came to the stage to act out how to properly and improperly use display the 7 habits. They were a funny, crazy hoot!
Mrs. Roti then informed the students of the fun "Leader in Me Roles" that they are able to "apply" for in the next few weeks. "Roles" include Flag Raisers, Lunch Monitors, Newsletter Committee, Maverick Cheerleaders and more!
The assembly finished off with a lively Maverick dance party to the "7 Habits of Happy Kids: There's a Leader in Me" song! What fun!
It's safe to say that our 1st assembly was a beautiful way to rev up the Maverick spirit and get our Mavs on the right foot for an AMAZING school year at CCE!
