Clay Central Everly's Outdoor Classroom Day was a HUGE success and a WHOLE lot of FUN! From hands on learning to educational exploration, to peer leadership and teamwork, we had the very best time making the most of a literal perfect day at Scharnberg's Park!
Thank you to our Clay County Naturalist Bri Blom and Brooklyn for the absolute best educational field trip guides that we could ever ask for! We are so grateful for you! It's a beautiful day to be a Maverick!
Students were ecstatic to fish off of the dock on such a beautiful spring day!
Teamwork makes the dream work and boy did our Mavericks show us how it's done yesterday through our many stations and activities!
A little bit of safe water play and splashing fun was just what the doctor ordered for our playful, nature loving students!
Games, chalk and bubbles were a fun treat once children had finished their picnic lunch!
The children figured out that the speed radar would calculate their running speed! Needless to say, Mrs. Tewes, Ms. Hartwig and Brooklyn had to get in on the action too!
We are "stumped" at how we got so lucky to serve such wonderful children at CCE!
Who wouldn't want to sit and gaze with sweet Ms. Rhonda while enjoying such beautiful scenery at Scharnberg's!?
Leadership was a must while canoeing. Our upperclassmen took to the task with great responsibility and respect!
Our preschoolers may have little legs, but that didn't prevent them for making big steps in explorative learning and engagement yesterday!
Our fishermen sure know all about patience and tenacity!
These boys were expert netters, catching much bait! Another group even caught a baby painted turtle! (Note: all animals were safely released.)
What a breathtaking view and so close to home! We pinch ourselves at all that we Mavericks get to do and enjoy.
It was hard not to be all smiles during such a lovely day!
